Realizing how difficult it is to find information on ostomy and to obtain tailored services for people with gastrointestinal or urinary diversions, it was in 2006, after her surgery that Caroline Dufour-Jean1 decided to open the "Centre de Stomothérapie du Québec". Having undergone an ileostomy, she understands better than anyone the needs and expectations of ostomates. After having carefully selected a strongly experienced team, it is finally in january 2009 that she opened the doors of her "Centre de Stomothérapie du Québec". Composed of psychologists, sexologists, nutritionists, social workers, each of them being expert in their field which allows her to offer her customers the resources necessary for their well-being. 1. The "Centre de Stomothérapie du Québec" is a multiservice center that brings together various health professionals, all experts in their respective fields: social worker, psychologist, nutritionist and sexologist. Our team aims to support and assist ostomates or future ostomates in their physical and / or moral, when they need it. Demonstrate them that even with an ostomy, it is possible to live an active and fulfilling life!

Our mission consists in the acceptance of oneself, so that ostomates can learn to live with an ostomy in a progressive way. To do this, we provide ostomy care, support services and information for ostomates or for people that are about to become ostomates, as well as members of their surroundings.
